East Central Baseball Association Announcement:
Humboldt Minor Baseball and the Muenster Sports Club are excited to announce the merger of our 15U baseball programs. Much like the 18U program the 15U program will be run by a separate board called the East Central Baseball Association (ECBA). This board is made up of 5 members. They are Chad Hofmann, Paul Strueby, Dean Elmy, Brett Suchan and Jeanine Wassermann. The board is excited for the opportunity to develop long term sustainable baseball in the East Central Region.
What does this mean for the 18U program?
- There will be two teams and they will both play at the highest level possible for their age group.
- Both teams will play in the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League (SPBL).
- The AAA team will be known as the East Central Red Sox (made up of players from the East Central Region).
- The AA team will be known as the Muenster Red Sox made up of players from the Humboldt/Muenster region who were registered in either Humboldt Minor Baseball or Muenster Minor Baseball the year previous. If there is room for extra players who were not registered in Humboldt Minor Baseball Association or Muenster Minor Baseball the year previous, they will be added at the coach’s discretion with ECBA board approval.
- The programs will set their own fees and be responsible for their own finances.
- The programs will be responsible for entering tournaments.
- The programs will both enter Provincials.
- The coach for the East Central Red Sox will be hired by the board through an application process.
- The coach for the Muenster Red Sox will be chosen by the board. You will be considered for the job depending on the information you provide on your child’s registration form.
- The assistant coaches will be chosen by the head coach with the ECBA approval.
- Pending weather, the East Central Red Sox will be hosting their tryout in the fall.

- The AA team will be known as the Humboldt Dodgers and made up of players from the Humboldt/Muenster region who were registered in either Humboldt Minor Baseball or Muenster Minor Baseball the year previous. If there is room for extra players who were not registered in Humboldt Minor Baseball Association or Muenster Minor Baseball the year previous, they will be added at the coach’s discretion with ECBA board approval.

- Pending unforeseen circumstances, the tryout for the East Central Dodges will be held in the early spring.
- Both teams will share practice time and game time in each community as evenly as possible.
Registration
Registration for the Muenster Red Sox, East Central Dodgers and the Humboldt Dodgers will be completed by February 21’st. Please fill out the linked registration form and send it to the email address eastcentral306@gmail.com. Fees for each team will be decided by the coaching staff once the season details are finalized. It is important to register as soon as possible. There will be team workouts possibly beginning as early as Sunday Feb 14th.
