Roadwork in Muenster

Muenster Roadwork Plans

The Village of Muenster Public Works has plans to do grader roadwork tomorrow morning, Thursday July 7th on the 100 and 200 blocks of Taphorn Street and the 200 block of Phillips Street. Please have your vehicles moved off the street to allow full grader access. Thankyou.

Plans are also in place to address the roads on the 400 block of Phillips Street, Main Crescent as well as Third Avenue during the week of July 18th. Notices will be posted closer to the date.

As some of you may have noticed the Village has used some recycled shingle material on College Avenue in a pilot project attempt to minimize dust. The material seems to be doing its job not only decreasing dust levels but it has also reduced traffic noise as well. Council will be looking to use this recycled shingle material on additional streets in Muenster going forward.

Rangeline work has progressed this summer. Public works is actively attempting to dry out the soft section of the road where Scott intersects Rangeline. Concerns of an underground aquifer keeping things wet are being investigated. Surface work has taken place to minimize potholes and washboards. Upon drying out of the road, compaction will take place with packers yet this summer. Council will review surfacing options likely in the next round of budget processes in 2023.
