As per article on Discover Humboldt:
Humboldt Uniplex is the site of a walk-in COVID vaccine clinic for those 55 years of age and older. The clinic will be operational from April 8 to 11. A post from the Saskatchewan Health Authority indicates that the Astra-Zeneca vaccine is being made available to the age group according to the new standards for use by the National Advisory Committee on Immunization.
The clinics hours are as follows:
- April 8, 10, and 11: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
- April 9: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
The walk-in clinic in Humboldt, as in other locations across the province, is on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointments bookings will be taken.
The Government of Saskatchewan announced a delay in Moderna vaccine shipments of 19,300 doses. This is expected to have an impact on rural and northern delivery of the vaccine. The SHA says it is still assessing the impact, but any residents whose booked appointments are delayed will be contacted directly by the SHA.
Book-in clinics for Humboldt and area had already been suspended due to a lack of available vaccines.
