Thankyou to council and all stakeholders who made time to join us in conversation last night. We had around 55 people gathered to discuss a variety of topics regarding Muenster community . The Community Engagement gathering discussed many topics including the following: Taxation, Budget, Debt, Emergency Services, Public Works, Community Assets both concrete and intangible and had time for public feedback at the end. Conversation also touched on Future Development. A resounding theme emerged that most people value our community that shows well cared for properties, safe and close community.
If you were unable to make the meeting (most likely you were active harvesting in the field or on the ball diamond with tryouts or settling the little ones after a full day of back to school rush, etc) your opinion still matters. Scan through the slides attached below. Email us or make and appointment to meet to chat about your opinion on the matters at hand regarding Muenster. We want you to have input into shaping the community we all love and live in.

This fall, the Village will begin an important project to replace aging water meters throughout the community. Homeowners will not be responsible for any costs, as the meters are owned by the Village. Homes that have already received new meters within the last three years may not require replacement.
If you notice significant corrosion on your current meter or valve - or if you have concerns about its condition - please contact our office so your property can be placed on the priority list. All other households will be contacted directly to schedule an installation.
Key Information:
- Appointments will be booked in one-hour time slots.
- A resident must be home during the appointment.
- Our foreman will need access inside the home to reach the water meter.
- Why this work is important: replacing aging infrastructure prevents future failures and allows for improved options in monthly meter readings.
Installation Process:
- Shut off household water supply.
- Drain water through the lowest cold-water tap.
- Remove the old meter and install the new one.
- Rewire the exterior reading puck.
- Restore water service and check for leaks.
We appreciate your cooperation as we work to maintain and improve our community's infrastructure. If you have and questions or wish to report a concern with your current meter or valve, please contact the Village Office at (306) 682-2794 or muenster@sasktel.net

Pub Not OCP ZB Village SPI changes Sept 2025
Official Community Plan (Bylaw 4/2025) and Zoning Bylaw (Bylaw 5/2025) Updates
The Province of Saskatchewan has recently revised The Statements of Provincial Interest Regulations (48/2025). The Planning and Development Act, 2007 authorizes the Lieutenant Governor in Council to adopt Statements of Provincial Interest which provides guidance to municipalities on land use and land development issues, including content of Official Community Plans, Zoning Bylaws and subdivisions. Implementation of The Statements of Provincial Interest Regulations (SPI’s) is the responsibility of the Ministry of Government Relations.
The recent changes to the SPI’s address potential flood risks related to development permitting, community planning, zoning and subdivisions of land. Previously, municipalities were required to
assess flood risks for a 1:500-year flood event. The amendments to the SPI’s now require municipalities to address potential flood risks for a 1:200-year flood event. The new SPI’s took
effect on June 12, 2025.

Road Work Monday August 11th. As crews finish off the chip and seal oil process on Rangeline, Main Street and College Avenue please note the following:
1. Regular sized vehicles are fine travelling on newly sealed roads.
2. NO HEAVY equipment or machines should travel on newly sealed roads. Especially no large vehicles with metal tracks or wheel systems that will dig into the fresh surface.
Service vehicles can use alternate roads to access required locations.
Bulk water hauling with heavy loads should be avoided until road surface sets up – please try to avoid hauling water until ~ 4 days of set up time – after August 15th.
Thank you.
