Water Restriction Notice Lifted - Saturday, August 9 at 9:49 am
News
Posted on August 9, 2025

Residents of Muenster,

Please note that the water restrictions have been lifted, and you are free to contribute normal quantities of water to the sewer system. We believe the system was temporarily overwhelmed due to rainfall accumulation on a construction site where surface water gained access to the sewer system.  This problem has been corrected, and the sewer lift station is back in normal operation mode.

On a sidenote, it is a good practice to check that basement sump pump systems are operating properly regularly, especially during periods of excessive rainfall.

Thank you,

Jan Sylvestre

Water Restriction Notice - Saturday, August 9 at 8:30 am
News
Posted on August 9, 2025

Good morning Muenster Residents,

Please be advised that due to the large amount of rainfall, our Lift Station has encountered an unusually large quantity of water, possibly due to open construction sites in Muenster. The Lift Station cannot keep up with pumping the sewer with the extra surface water.
Muenster Public Works requests that you avoid contributing any sewer contents to the system until further notice.

We kindly request that you limit your water usage/contribution to the sewer system. Please do not flush or run water down drains until further notice.
We hope you have a good morning.

Thank you,
Village of Muenster
