We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.
Living adjacent to Wolverine Creek brings many aspects of nature into our backyards. Muenster has consulted with Conservation Officers out of Humboldt. The CO is NOT confirming the presence of a cougar. Cougars are natural to Saskatchewan however are typically very elusive. The noises some residents have recorded MAY be from foxes. Please use this as an opportunity to practice caution - perhaps ensure small children are supervised while playing outdoors. If you are out walking be aware of your surroundings. If you are headed into wooded areas, travel in groups and be aware of your surroundings. See attached pdf regarding cougars.
If you have any photos or sightings/ or if you have any questions about wildlife in Muenster please call the Gov of Sask. TIPPS line 1-800-667-7561. If you wish to speak with Conservation Officers you may call the TIPPS line and ask for the CO in our Region to call you back.
For Your Information:
Thankyou to council and all stakeholders who made time to join us in conversation last night. We had around 55 people gathered to discuss a variety of topics regarding Muenster community . The Community Engagement gathering discussed many topics including the following: Taxation, Budget, Debt, Emergency Services, Public Works, Community Assets both concrete and intangible and had time for public feedback at the end. Conversation also touched on Future Development. A resounding theme emerged that most people value our community that shows well cared for properties, safe and close community.
If you were unable to make the meeting (most likely you were active harvesting in the field or on the ball diamond with tryouts or settling the little ones after a full day of back to school rush, etc) your opinion still matters. Scan through the slides attached below. Email us or make and appointment to meet to chat about your opinion on the matters at hand regarding Muenster. We want you to have input into shaping the community we all love and live in.
Copies of the slide presentation are available here: 2025 Presentation - Muenster Strategic Planning

PLEASE SAVE THE DATE TUESDAY SEPT 9th AT 7:00 PM. JOIN US AT THE MUENSTER SCHOOL GYMNASIUM TO DISCUSS COMMUNITY PROGRESS, TAXES AND FUTURE PLANNING.

This fall, the Village will begin an important project to replace aging water meters throughout the community. Homeowners will not be responsible for any costs, as the meters are owned by the Village. Homes that have already received new meters within the last three years may not require replacement.
If you notice significant corrosion on your current meter or valve - or if you have concerns about its condition - please contact our office so your property can be placed on the priority list. All other households will be contacted directly to schedule an installation.
Key Information:
- Appointments will be booked in one-hour time slots.
- A resident must be home during the appointment.
- Our foreman will need access inside the home to reach the water meter.
- Why this work is important: replacing aging infrastructure prevents future failures and allows for improved options in monthly meter readings.
Installation Process:
- Shut off household water supply.
- Drain water through the lowest cold-water tap.
- Remove the old meter and install the new one.
- Rewire the exterior reading puck.
- Restore water service and check for leaks.
We appreciate your cooperation as we work to maintain and improve our community's infrastructure. If you have and questions or wish to report a concern with your current meter or valve, please contact the Village Office at (306) 682-2794 or muenster@sasktel.net
